The viewers of the TV series were requested to join the main characters in their search for 6 stolen paintings.
On the website www.thespiral.eu we introduced an online game and community focused on the creation of a collaborative work of art. By adding user generated content into the TV series, the online story became part of the fiction; making The Spiral a pioneer transmedia project.

This challenging project required a very specific approach and architecture that would offer high availability and could handle spike traffic. Next to that we required a technology that could handle the requirements of online gaming and community building. We found the combination of Drupal, Node.js and MongoDB to be a perfect match for this.
The website was delivered by PKA Wanabe (Emakina Group).

amazon community MongoDB Node.js user generated content varnish Tue, 13 Nov 2012 13:41:51 +0000 koenvi 1463 at http://arad2012.drupalcamp.ro The Drupal Community. Drupalcamp is an intense, participant-driven event, hosting workshops and demos, and following the format of “unconferences” as opposite to official conferences (such as OSCON, DrupalCon, LinuxCon, etc.). Participants submit proposals before the event is held, and the schedule is designed based on these proposals. The overall goals of Drupalcamp are to connect local and regional communities and to allow the sharing of knowledge. Drupalcamps are community sharing and training events for Drupal enthusiasts.

This is the third Drupalcamp in Romania. Previous Drupalcamps were held in Timisoara (2010) and in Bucharest (2011).
community drupal events drupalcamp Mon, 15 Feb 2010 12:28:09 +0000 admin 12 at http://arad2012.drupalcamp.ro
